Hyperline Canada wished to transform this space into a mixed use storage and office space. The second floor would have a mezzanine opening in the rear by the back garage door. The existing framing structure was discovered to be inadequate for the weight requirements for the second floor storage and a complete overhaul of the structure was completed. Work included all new structural footings, steel beams, framing, electrical wiring, drywall and fire rated doors. The building fire rated with the help of Hilti Canada. All concrete floors were etched and refinished with a two part epoxy coating. All new carpeting throughout the building.

Drywall, Painting

Full plaster and paint works in all 107 rooms and all 4 hallways completed in less than 2 months.

Air Liquide, an international supplier of compressed gas products, invited Fixmyhouse.ca in for an estimate of their new satellite location here in Ottawa. Work included drywall repair and installation in the warehouse, painting, new flooring, equipment and rack installations. Offices and showroom areas were also renovated to include new paint, flooring, ceiling paint and office furniture installation.

Electrical, Lighting

Work included the replacement of fluorescent lighting in studio, office, hallway and reception areas with soft lit recessed halogen lighting. New circuits were run and over 80 new halogen units were installed. Work was inspected in and approved by the Electrical Safety Authority.

Welding, Metal Roof, Metal Siding, Steel Stud Construction, Electrical, Foundation

The new Air Liquide satellite location required the construction of a sheltered area for use as a filling area for their nitrogen supply. The shelter required a heavy steel platform which could hold a substantial amount of weight for supporting an industrial grade weigh scale to measure a tanks contents. There were many factors which made this a difficult project including 6 inches of frozen ice over the working area which had to be melted in minus 20deg weather. It was also to be installed within an enclosed fenced area. The shelter was constructed with 18 gauge steel studs and covered with a 22 gauge metal clad siding/roofing. This station is built to last.

Concrete, Welding, Painting

Installation of a 48″x48″x12″ reinforced concrete platform and steel channel used as a breaking bumper to avoid collisions with the main platform from the fork lift operators loading the station with 300kg nitrogen tanks. The platform was also painted.

Bamboo Flooring

Fixmyhouse.ca was flown out to Calgary to install bamboo flooring in the Vento’s 12 of 22 units.

Framing, Doors, Windows, Roof

Construction included complete framing services, door and window installation, placement of roof trusses, restoration detail of the existing building along with other miscellaneous site support for Kingsway Arms latest development in Orleans, Ontario.
